In 2013, the Young & Restless and Days of Our Lives leading man (as Kevin Fisher and Leo Stark, respectively) came out following the Supreme Court’s decisions in favor of same-sex marriage and equality. Since 2015, the Emmy winner has been married to writer/producer Robert Sudduth (Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies), with whom he has a son, Montgomery.
Joanna Johnson
Just before Bold & Beautiful revealed that Bill Spencer’s sister Karen is a lesbian, her portrayer toldTV Guide that she is, too. For years, “I was so worried I wouldn’t be employable as an actress if people knew,” she said, “or that I wouldn’t be believable in romance stories. I had to deal with a lot of self-loathing.” Now a TV producer, Johnson has been married since 2008 to club promoter Michelle Agnew, with whom she has two childre

While almost every soap currently on daytime has a same-sex couple, General Hospital, Young and the Restless, and B&B don't contain a candle to NBC'sDays of Our Lives in the LGBTQ+ representation department. DOOL has welcomed several LGBTQ+ characters who have been a part of everything from flings to supercouples.
Sonny And Leo
Sonny and Leo had to be one of the most catastrophic couples on Days of Our Lives for the way Leo wormed his way into Sonny's life just to frame him for sexual harassment, resulting in Sonny unintentionally "killing" Leo and enlisting Will to help him cover it up.
As disastrous as they were, the couple started with pretty flirtations that linger to this afternoon and are one-sided by Leo, who would always be up for a fling despite Sonny knocking him unconscious and rolling his presumably dead body i

Paul is John’s son with a woman named Tori Naurita, and Sonny and Will’s ex-boyfriend. He was brought in to be Wilson foil, and despite existence a great character, never really got a soul mate of his own. He first came in as a pro baseball player who had an affair with Will. Turns out, he was also Sonny’s ex. Will and Sonny separated, then Will was “killed” and Sonny and Paul got together. When Will was revealed to be alive, Sonny dumped Paul. However, it turned out this Will had amnesia and didn’t remember Sonny, so Will and Paul got together. Once Will got his memories back, he also dumped Paul and went back to Sonny. Paul, still being a great guy and character, took a bullet for Will (I think… don’t completely remember) and was paralyzed. He eventually left Salem to seek specialized physical therapy. I would love to see Paul come back because Dr. Wesley is well versed in some new treatment that could help him. Maybe something could happen with them.

The long running soap opera Days of Our Lives has been a groundbreaker in terms of LGBTQ+ visibility. For several years the show highlighted the complicated love story of Sonny and Will, a well-liked gay super-couple. The characters were written out of the series in 2020 but have since returned to the fictional town of Salem. More recently Days explored the love between longtime character Dr. Craig Wesley and queer con artist Leo Stark, which culminated in a disastrous wedding in which Leo was revealed to already be married to a drag queen. Now, Days is breaking ground in a new way by presenting the story of Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), who might be the first bisexual personality in soapland.
Allie was all set to marry longtime crush Tripp (Lucas Adams), who was oblivious of the reality that Allie had recently slept with her female top friend Chanel (Raven Bowens). When he found out, an enraged Tripp broke off thei
